Thanks, acknowledgements and contacts

Our thanks go to everyone who has helped to create this memorial to Elizabeth McRae:

Lament for Elizabeth McRae

Music by Neil Munro.  Poem by James Hudson

Neil played guitar on the recording with Julie Reynolds playing violin and Sally Munro reading the words.

The lament was recorded at the Alan Perry Studios, Edinburgh.

The evocative photography is by Angus Mackay who gave his time very generously.  His work can be seen at www.angusmackay.co.uk .

Jimmy Miller provided information about the Latheron Poorhouse and a photograph of the Latheron Cemetery before its records were destroyed.

The Caithness Archive at Wick Library helped us find evidence of Elizabeth’s time in the Latheron Poorhouse.

Peter Higginbotham, who created the Workhouses.org website, provided useful contacts.

We believe that copyright to the photograph of the Latheron Poorhouse belongs to Ian Fraser but we have been unable to contact him.

Where we have not acknowledged copyrights it is because we have not been able to find them but we will acknowledge all copyrights if known.
